Holy Grounds Quilts
In 2008, Mary Saulen brought squares of focus fabric and taught us how to use paper piecing to frame the squarse on point. Mary sashed and bordered the quilt with black, gray and red. Lore Weldon quilted it on her longarm and off it went to Conference in June 2009. Hopefully we'll learn its destiny at camp in 2010.

In 2007 each quilter contributed scraps of fabrics and learned a neat technique for making flying geese from 2 squares of fabric. The geese were assembled into the quilt shown. This quilt was auctioned at Conference in 2008 and won by Anne Heimbach.

In 2006 each quilter contributed scraps of fabric and built 9-patches from a selection of random pieces. The quilt was assembled and auctioned at 2006 conference and raised around $500 for the Holy Grounds project in support of Methodist camps. Faith United Methodist in Manor Hill raised money in the church and sent their pastor to conference with the money to bid on the quilt and she was the successful bidder.
