It's a Mystery to Me....

This 58" x 72" throw will make up nicely in Civil War reproductions, small scale prints, batiks or funky flowers. Make it using 5 fabrics or mix it up by going scrappy with one of the fabrics. Come to camp with fabrics cut and organized in bags or envelopes. Enjoy the fun as the steps are revealed one at a time leading up to the finished throw. You should leave with the throw ready to quilt. Bring more fabric and get a huge start on a bed-sized quilt.

Materials:

To make the 58" x 72" throw, you need:

• A – Focus Fabric – used for borders and for choosing coordinating fabrics
  • 1 ¼ yards if you piece your borders and fabric is not directional
    • OR
  • 2 yards if you don't piece your borders and your fabric is not directional
    • OR
  • 3 yards if your fabric is directional
• B – medium or dark. This fabric could be scrappy.
  • ¾ yard
    • OR
  • 12 fat quarters or quarter yard cuts of 12 different fabrics
• C – dark
  • ½ yard
• D – accent, medium or dark
  • ¾ yard
• E – background, light or medium-light
  • 1 ½ yards
• Backing – 4 yards
• Binding - ½ yard
• Batting – 66” x 80”

If you'd like to shoot for a bed-sized quilt, increase your focus fabric to 3 yards for non-directional and 4 yards for directional.
